Destiny Wins Trends Gazelle in Flemisch-Brabant

Zaventem, 8 February 2018 - Destiny, the independent Belgian provider of cloud communication solutions for innovative enterprises, has won the 'Trends Gazelle' award in the medium-sized company category in Flemish Brabant. For Destiny, it is recognition of the ICT company's substantial and continuous growth. The Trends Gazelles award recognises companies with strong growth in turnover, personnel and added value and was organised for the seventeenth time this year.

With the Trends Gazelles, the economic weekly magazine Trends produces an annual ranking of the fastest-growing companies in Belgium, broken down by province. These companies are an integral part of the Belgian economic landscape and the winners are all competitive companies that positively influence the business climate in their region. They are powerhouses of innovation and employment that are inspiring role models for other companies.

Daan De Wever, founder and CEO of Destiny since 2015, is over the moon with the award from Trends: "We are honoured with this recognition. Since our founding in 2008, we experienced strong revenue growth every year. Destiny started as a pure telecom player, but later we broadened our focus and today we position ourselves as a true scale-up that builds an intelligent bridge between IT and telecom. Our goal is to give companies access to data and let them communicate intelligently and from the cloud. At the same time, we also help our partners innovate their business model to stay competitive against the big boys."

Sustainable entrepreneurship

Destiny not only wants to do business in a sustainable way, it is also implementing a sustainability culture throughout the company - and that with almost a hundred employees. De Wever: "The number of employees is gradually approaching one hundred. In our sector, it is not easy to attract the right profiles. Destiny therefore presents itself a little differently: we pay a lot of attention to the well-being of our employees and do our best to create a stimulating environment. Our goal is to create a sustainable corporate culture, where people are at the centre."

Destiny closed the 2017 financial year with a turnover of 28 million euros. This year, the company is targeting 50 million euros. "Organic growth is around 20 per cent. In addition, we are currently fully negotiating a foreign acquisition," De Wever concludes.
