Over the past few years, Destiny has also made a number of strategic acquisitions in Belgium to strengthen its services portfolio. The acquisition of IT101, for example, means it can offer a broad range of security options and the recent acquisition of Escaux brings with it patented technology for getting fixed and mobile devices to work together in a powerful way. “With the targeted acquisitions of recent years and OZMO as the provisional final piece, we now have all the technical components and building blocks in our portfolio to be able to offer a total solution for cloud services on the Dutch market, including connectivity, security, mobile and VOIP,” De Wever continues. “We are therefore glad of the challenge to become the alternative to RouteIT on the local market. And our ambition certainly doesn’t stop there. In the short term we are also looking forward to new acquisitions on the Dutch market, to further strengthen our position.”
With the recent acquisitions of Escaux and its spin-off, Fuzer, in Belgium, together with OZMO cloud communications, Destiny is continuing to work on its local and European ambitions to become the European virtual and independent operator. It now has more than 220 employees, 70 of which are in the Netherlands, more than 13,000 business customers and revised predicted turnover of 65 million euros for 2019, 20 million of which is accounted for by the Netherlands.
All employees are being fully integrated into Destiny. By the end of this year, the brands DSD, Motto and OZMO will be subsumed into one brand.
“OZMO has been working closely with Motto Communications and DSD Business Internet for more than five years now. Partly for that reason, the takeover was an obvious next step, so we could continue to grow OZMO,” explains Gijs Van der Heijden, director of OZMO. “For me, the overwhelming feeling is one of pride. Over the past ten years we have built up a wonderful, strong company with our staff and partners. This takeover is actually a reward for what we have achieved. Together with Destiny we can continue to grow and serve our partners and customers even better.”
