CEO and CTO Daan and Samuel De Wever: Young Entrepreneurs of the Year

"Recognition for success story"

Daan and Samuel De Wever of independent Belgian telecom operator Destiny may now call themselves "young top manager of the year". This was announced on 23 April by the network for top managers Top Management.

The De Wever brothers received this award for their sense of entrepreneurship. In 2008, they dared to set up their own company: Destiny, specialising in private data networks and telecom solutions for companies. Today, seven years later, Daan and Samuel are at the helm of one of the fastest-growing companies within the telecoms sector, with 1209% revenue growth over the past five years.

Daan De Wever, managing director at Destiny: "Sometimes we don't dwell on it enough, but what started as a dream has grown into a beautiful success story today. This title is on the one hand a nice recognition, but on the other hand again a motivator to keep going. After all, we still see potential for growth in the years to come. Our story is far from over."

Samuel De Wever, CTO at Destiny: "This award is a recognition for the entire company and everyone who has contributed to Destiny's success in recent years. Our thanks therefore go first and foremost to all our employees, customers and partners who are committed to Destiny every day."

From a selection of several dozen candidates, several nominees were selected for the ceo and founder categories. It was then up to a jury, made up of representatives from the world of economics, to decide the winner. In doing so, that jury mainly looked for entrepreneurs who have succeeded in introducing innovative practices and technologies into their business and operational processes.
